FITNESS COACHING/PERSONAL TRAINING
Lakeside's goal in providing fitness coaching and personal training is to offer health and fitness leadership that ensures
our clients will
achieve their desired results in the safest, most effective way possible.
Nancy Doherty, a certified yoga therapist, Pilates instructor and Personal Trainer, specializes in designing fitness programs for:

All clients must complete a comprehensive fitness assessment and will receive a tailored program
specifically meeting your needs. The fitness assessment includes a cardiovascular capacity,
muscle strength and endurance, and flexibility assessment.
Clients may purchase either in studio sessions or online, real time sessions via a webcam at your location.

Pay Per Session Personal Training:
A flexible scheduling option for clients on the move, or clients who have worked with personal trainers before and need "fine tuning" of their self-directed program. Pay-Per-Session Personal Training allows you to pay for your training sessions as you go. However, please remember that any training program needs time to produce positive results. Clients choosing Pay-Per-Session Personal Training should plan on committing to a minimum of 3-5 sessions.
Personal Training Packages:
You're committed, you're devoted, you're in it for the long haul. And these packages allow you to get fit a great value. Packages are available in 12, 24 and 36 session bundles. The more sessions you buy at one time, the more you save. Package sessions must be completed within 6-12 months of purchase. You may purchase half hour, 45 minute or one hour training packages.
Personal training sessions are held in our studio or your home or office.
Duo Personal Training is also available. If you like the "buddy system" and you have a friend that shares the same training goals as you do, ask about my Duo Personal Training program which allows friends to share the cost of training.
Customized Home Workouts
Are you a candidate for Customized Home Workouts? If two or more of the following scenarios are familiar, read on;
customized home workouts are a great option for you.
- I don't have time to go to a studio for exercise classes.
- I want/ need/ like to exercise but I am not sure I am doing the correct types of exercises, if I'm doing them the right way, if I'm exercising too much or not enough, if I'm doing exercises in the right combinations and I have no idea how to track my progress.
- I don't enjoy being in an exercise class with a lot of other people. I enjoy exercising on my own.
- I am organized and am disciplined. If I say I'm going to do something, I do it.
- My career takes me away from my home quite a bit, and my exercise program gets dropped when I do.
I have many clients who are motivated, disciplined and willing to stick with an exercise schedule,
don't like going to a gym, don't have time to come to my studio on a regular basis, may or may not have exercise equipment at
home and prefer to exercise on their own schedule in the comfort of their own home or wherever they may be while traveling.
They are participating in my customized home workout programs, the majority through online, real time sessions via the Internet.
Every 4 to 12 weeks, they learn a new program that fits with their own personal goals for exercise and then head off on their own to do this program at home or while they travel.
One of my clients, G.P., wrote "It's made it a lot easier having a planned workout that I can do at home. During the first week or two, I refer A LOT to the program information you gave me, but by the end of the 8 weeks, I've mastered the program and am ready to change it up again. My workouts don't get stale, which makes me want to keep going, and I can see a very definite change in my body already. P.S. I just bought the treadmill we talked about, so please write me up some routines for it too. "
Another client, L.W., travels away from her home several times per year. I've developed workouts that she
can do wherever she is staying; some workouts utilize the standard equipment found in most hotel workout facilities. I do all the
workout training via their Internet connection from wherever they might be.
Customized workouts are useful for people who have the discipline and the willingness to work out on their own time. Many are busy professionals that want and need to keep in shape, but just don't have time to come in to the studio for training sessions. Many have access to fitness equipment in their own home or when they travel. They are intelligent and motivated and do their assigned workouts on a regular basis to get stronger, slimmer, de-stress and stay healthy.
